Booking The Session

Once you have decided to book your session with Michele Therese Photography, you will receive a contract and invoice via email. Once you pay your deposit and sign the contract, your session will officially be reserved. Due to seasonal popularity, Michele Therese Photography tends to book-up quickly and it is highly recommended to book your session a few months in advance.

The Pre-Session Consultation

Once you have officially booked your session, you will receive our Client Questionnaire to help us understand your vision and expectations of your session. In addition to the questionnaire, you will gain access to Michele Therese Photography’s Welcome Guide and Style Guide with custom, detailed recommendations for your family or team to help you best prepare for your session. Once the questionnaire has been completed, we will schedule a pre-session consultation to discuss the fine details for your session. From what to wear and location to how images will be displayed in your space. This is the perfect time to start thinking about how you would like to display the portraits from your session in your home and get all your product questions answered. It is one thing to have the portraits taken, it’s an entirely different thing to plan for showing them off! If there is a special image you would like to capture or a prop that you would like to use, this is the time to let us know and we will take your vision and add our creativity to make it happen.

Style & Select

Work directly with me through an interactive styling session to create gorgeous photography worthy outfits online that coordinate with your home décor. Everything is done digitally start to finish to make it as stress-free as possible on you! We will work on color combinations and actual outfits that your family will wear for your session. Once we have decided on the best pieces for you and your family, you can click directly from the link and order all your clothes, shoes and accessories online. No guessing, no going to store after store, just click, order and you are done! Looking for something even more specialized? Create Your Collection

Create your collection to compliment your session with us. You are able to purchase printed art in 2 easy steps:

Step 1: Begin by choosing beautifully printed art for your home, office or personal space. With the planning we do prior to the session, we will be able to choose art that will compliment your style and vision. Your session will be photographed for your chosen art pieces, with the end result in mind. With these decisions made prior to the session, the ordering process will be seamless afterwards.

Step 2: Continue with choosing your files. All our clients go home with all the low-resolution digital images from their session as part of your session fee. These are perfect for social media and sharing online with friends and family. Many of our clients would also enjoy the full-resolution images as well. They are fully enhanced and ready to print. You also receive unlimited personal usage and printing rights with these images. This means you can print, share and display the images as you like. Purchasing the full-resolution files gives you the ultimate flexibility and control to print and share images in the future.

The Session

One week prior to the session, we will contact you to confirm everything and review the timeline for the session. For on-location sessions, we will arrive with plenty of time prior to the discussed time to setup as needed based on the scope of the session. Everyone participating in the session can arrive at the designated time and we will begin photographing soon thereafter. We tend to work very quickly to keep everyone engaged and most importantly, HAVING FUN!!! We pride ourselves on making this a fun, enjoyable and STRESS-FREE experience for you and your family!

After The Session

After the session is complete, sit back and relax knowing that we are hard at work behind the scenes making all the magic happen. Approximately four weeks after your session, you will receive your beautiful memories to enjoy via a secure online gallery to view from the comfort of your home. Once you receive your gallery, we will setup your product consultation to help you elect the images for the products you have chosen prior to the session. We will also help you navigate through selecting additional products to compliment all the artwork already on display in your home, allowing you to truly archive the memories from your special day. All of the products offered, are beautifully handcrafted from start to finish, giving you professional quality artwork that will be preserved for you to enjoy for years to come.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of sessions do you offer?: We offer professional lifestyle and headshots as well as family lifestyle photography including sessions for children, families, generations and specialty sessions.
Where will my session take place?: Professional headshot sessions can take place at our in-home studio or on-site at your office. For family lifestyle sessions, all locations will be chosen within a 10-mile radius of our in-home studio. Anything further can be arranged for an additional fee.
What should I wear for my session?: Once your session is booked, we will send you a Welcome Guide with all the information and inspiration for the session.  You can also view classic color combinations and ideas HERE. 
How long will my session last?: Professional sessions are dependent on the amount of people being photographed and your team’s needs. These can range from a few hours to an entire work day. A typical full family lifestyle session lasts up to 60 minutes and the seasonal mini sessions last for 20 minutes.
How long will it take to receive my images once the session is complete?: Depending on the time of year and the type of session you book, typical turnaround time is four weeks.
How do I purchase products for my home?: We have an entire product menu that will be provided once your session is officially reserved.  This is also a great time to start thinking about how you would like to display the portraits from the session in your home. Once you receive your gallery, we will setup a product consultation where I can walk you through your home and make recommendations on the best products to fit your home décor and style. Also, your gallery will remain open for one month, allowing you to order additional products from the galley directly as well.
Will I receive digital images?: While every collection includes the low-resolution files perfect for web and social media use, we pride ourselves on helping all our families cherish the memories for their session as artwork on their walls and other custom, handmade products. Every Michele Therese Photography session is photographed with the end in mind . . . displaying your beautiful images throughout your space to cherish for years to come.

We will work with you from start to finish by designing your custom gallery wall specifically for your space. Once designed, we will work on choosing the perfect products that compliment your home and taste.
